Friday, December 7th, 2007 09:25 pmNew music overload something serious.
Now this is interesting. I'm on such an... for lack of a better way of saying it, indie/rockabilly/punk rock kick, and as if that wasn't bad enough, I'm on an old-school J-Rock kick that's not fading out real fast. I'm looking at these new visual bands and finding it hard to be interested in them at all, because I sample them and as usual, the band is prettier than the music by far.
But then I went, "hang on, I'm still judging bands by their image, just doing the opposite and picking the non-pretty ones, so that's silly." ... But any band that looks like your average VK band has fallen down far on my "to dl" list.
And Dynamite Tommy is one of the worst vocalists I've ever heard, and yet I am still listening to Color and Sister's No Future. I don't particularly find any of them pretty (ignoring SNFSuper/SuperDeluxe because I don't have that album down yet and even then Den and Ryo are special exceptions despite their hair of extreme fail). This logic is flawed somewhere. I also managed to find the new Zombie Ghost Train album. Man, I'll dish cash out for that when I can. It's fantastic. I think it's a huge, huge improvement over their last album in replay value and ability. It's one of many things I want to pick up.
I just realised that wanting to change my layout is going to prove fun. I want the old system back now. This feels very limited... I don't even know where to start and I was barely getting my head around the "old ways." AUGH.
Maybe I'll just switch to something basic instead, with a header and colour scheme I can switch around at will. Seems like the best way to go. All this is very concerning, though. This kind of thing set LJ apart, now it's... too much like other services and seems to be getting more restrictive with every passing day (I don't wanna say anything more, I'M SCARED).
Well. If anyone wants to come stalk me on Soulseek now that my folders are making it into the realm of being organised, you can find me at tatabaanee. By no means is everything up or even properly figured out (ugh I hate Japanese characters and people who don't write their ID3 tags properly), but hey, you never know what you might find on me. ... You know what I mean.
