Interesting. Other people always seem to be able to phrase this stuff about me better than I can. She hit the nail on the head with this, too: the more I talk to you I realize that it's not that you're in fandom and that you rp it, it's like you are primarily an rp'er who sometimes draws from things people consider their fandom D: If that makes sense
It does. It makes sense. IT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE.
Triggered, really, by this damn movie I watched that got me all nostalgic. Hidalgo. You know, the movie that was essentially Indiana Jones meets The Black Stallion meets random old west film. It got me thinking about how a film like that would have spawned a dozen knock-offs at least where I used to hang out. Every time this happens, I kind of want to dive back in for a little while just for something different, but whenever I look, it's always the same. What they think is ultra-realistic, an idealistic society where male is dominant (but isn't) and runs the show. PERSONALLY, I would be highly entertained by the inbetween (haha, why do I always go for blends or middle ground that isn't very popular, boo)... something more fantastic, a mature take on the ol' communicating horses routine. The Silver Brumby series type of deal. AND I DON'T CARE IF ANYONE THINKS IT'S WEIRD. I doubt I'd actually get into it again since not only do I doubt the existence of such a game, but I think I'd get bored in a few days. It's just an urge to touch base with an old friend and remembering the few people that did play that way that I miss. Ahh, nostalgia.
Anyway, I really enjoyed it for what it was. A cheesy blockbuster action flick. Viggo Mortensen is such an awesome guy to begin with, but I was all moved when I read that he bought the starring horse once the film was over. D'aaaw. They must have been really bonded.
... I am a sap, shut up.
